For example, want to get pregnant with your first child, boy or twin! Yes, not a few parents who want twins. Unfortunately, until now there is not sure way to get pregnant with twins. Even so, there are several ways that can increase your chances of getting a twin pregnancy.

It's just that not all women can experience multiple pregnancies. Even twin pregnancies that are influenced by genetics can only be experienced by offspring randomly without knowing who will have twin breeds. As technology develops women who want multiple pregnancies can take part in a twin baby program.

The five ways below you can make a reference for getting a twin pregnancy:

1. IVF program

At present, IVF or in vitro fertilization (IVF) is one solution for couples who have difficulty getting a baby. In the IVF program, a method for taking sperm and egg cells is carried out outside the female organs so that the fertilization process occurs. After fertilization occurs, the result (the embryo) will be put back into the woman's womb, hoping to continue into pregnancy.

To increase the success of pregnancy, more than one number of embryos can be entered. This condition can increase the chances of multiple pregnancies.

According to data from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2014, the number of occurrences of twin pregnancies reached 12.1 percent in women younger than 35 years who underwent IVF programs.

2. Consumption of fertile drugs

Consumption of fertile drugs is believed to increase the likelihood of multiple pregnancies. Fertile drugs are used to increase the number of eggs (ovum) released from the ovary during ovulation.

With more eggs being released, it is also more likely that more than one egg fertilization will result in twin pregnancies. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine estimates that there are 30 percent of multiple or multiple pregnancies.

Generally, fertile drugs that are often used are clomiphene and gonadotrofin. Clomiphene drugs are usually given orally. This drug triggers the pituitary gland and hypothalamus in the brain to release hormones that stimulate the release of eggs.

Meanwhile, gonadotrophin drugs are usually given by injection. Gonadotrophin drugs can contain two hormones that are naturally produced by a woman's body, namely follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone. Both of these hormones work by influencing the ovary to release more eggs.

3. Artificial insemination

Artificial insemination or intrauterine insemination is a method of injecting sperm into the uterus. This method helps to facilitate the fertilization of the egg by sperm.

Usually, artificial insemination is done on couples who find it difficult to get a pregnancy. Furthermore, the act of artificial insemination accompanied by the administration of fertile drugs is believed to also increase the likelihood of having multiple pregnancies.

4. Increase body weight

A study published by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that the chance of having twins is higher as obesity increases.

Women with above-average height also have a higher chance of having twins. But it's good to pay attention to nutritional intake during the pregnancy program by eating only healthy foods.

5. Choose the right nutrition

Healthy nutritional intake has an important role in maintaining general health conditions, including those of you who are in a pregnant program. Some food intake is believed to increase the chance of multiple pregnancies. Among them are folic acid, foods that are high in protein, low in fat, dairy products, and zinc.

Some studies have found that the content of growth hormone in milk can increase the likelihood of multiple pregnancies. Then, a study in Australia states that women who consume folic acid since before pregnancy are more likely to experience multiple pregnancies. Meanwhile, increasing consumption of foods containing zinc can increase sperm production. The more sperm count, it can increase the possibility of fertilizing more than one egg.

If you crave twins, the four methods above can be a guide. Even so, you also need to know that multiple pregnancies are influenced by many factors, including the history of twins in the family, age, weight, height, frequency of pregnancy, and race.
