The blockage of skin pores that cause acne can be caused by dirt, sebum (fat produced by skin fat glands), and bacteria that accumulate. All of that can cause an inflammatory reaction, and this can cause infection.

Some other factors that cause acne are stress, hormonal factors, parentage, and the presence of bacteria in the pores of the skin.

These factors are interrelated in causing acne, so handling usually requires time and also high discipline.

Apart from being caused by these factors, there are some bad habits that can trigger the appearance of pimples on your skin.

1. Washing the skin too often

A dirty face is often considered the cause of acne. However, washing your face too often is not good, because it can make your face lose the skin's natural oil and encourage the skin to produce more oil.

The effect, acne will reappear.

Well, so that you don't experience this problem, it is recommended to wash your face twice a day. When washing your face, you can use warm water or clean water, and mild cleansing soap with a mild formulation. Apply facial cleanser using your fingertips and massage gently. Avoid using cloth washcloths to wipe your face, because it risks causing skin irritation.

4. Peel the skin and squeeze your pimples

Even though you really want to peel or squeeze pimples on your face, avoid this habit. This behavior can cause an increase in inflammation due to squeezing pus in the skin. This action can even leave a scar. Instead, keep your hands away from your face and let the acne deflate itself with the help of an anti-acne lotion or cream.

5. Products for hair on the face

It is important to keep no hairspray, gel, hair oil, or other hair products on the face. The existence of these hair products can clog the pores of the face which can cause acne. Cover your face when applying these hair products.
