9 Diseases with major complaints of weakness

You certainly have experienced a weak body condition. But usually, this situation can be resolved immediately by simply resting and improving the lifestyle. When the feeling of weakness experienced is not as usual, there could be certain diseases that underlie the emergence of a weakness in your body.

Unusual weakness usually occurs repeatedly and often makes daily activities disrupted. This weakness is more or less like the condition when you experience a cold or sleep deprivation. But clearly, one's productivity is greatly reduced due to it.

There are many factors that cause weakness, including physical fatigue, overtime work, lack of rest, psychological stress, to certain diseases such as anemia.

Many people consider trivial body limp and assume complaints will decrease by themselves after sleeping enough and eating nutritious food or taking supplements. Unfortunately, not many know that a weak body can also be a sign of a condition that is dangerous or even life threatening.




This type of weakness may be a major complaint of various illnesses that do require specific medical attention. Here's the list.

Depression and anxiety disorders

Conditions of depression and excessive anxiety will make someone run out of energy. Both of these psychic disorders make it difficult for a person to fall asleep or maintain sleep. The sufferers often wake up in the early hours of the morning, so they feel weak and sleepy during the day. This weakness can make someone unable to carry out daily activities, even though what is done is a fairly simple activity.

Chronic fatigue syndrome

Chronic fatigue syndrome is characterized by great weakness and makes a person unable to carry out activities such as going to work or doing household activities. Other complaints that often accompany are pain in the muscles or joints.

Fatigue conditions like this are called chronic if they have lasted for 4 months or more. Approximately 25 percent of sufferers cannot leave home or even just lie in bed.

Allergy

Allergic rhinitis is a cause of weakness which is often encountered. Conditions that are characterized by sneezing in the morning are actually easy to overcome, as long as you recognize and avoid allergens.

Allergic triggers can come from pollen, insects, house dust mites, animal dander, inhaled mold spores, weather changes, and so on.

Allergy or intolerance to food can also be marked by the body weakness. From now on, consider whether your limp is preceded by the consumption of certain foods.

Anemia

Anemic or lack of blood sufferers generally feel tired and "heavy" when they want to move their limbs. This condition is most vulnerable experienced by women who experience bleeding during menstruation in excessive amounts (menorrhagia), have a uterine myoma, uterine polyps, or pregnant women.

However, anemia can also be experienced by men and women after entering menopause caused by problems in the stomach and intestines, or due to taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Diabetes

Limp bodies often become one of the initial complaints in diabetes, in addition to frequent thirst and urination. This complaint also tends to persist until high blood sugar levels are successfully controlled.

Fibromyalgia

Is one of the causes of chronic muscle pain that is often found in women. As with chronic fatigue syndrome, this condition makes the sufferer feel weak and tired quickly, so that daily activities are hampered. Fibromyalgia sufferers will often wake up at night, so they never feel a good night's sleep even though the sleep duration is enough.

Sleep apnea

Narrowing airways can trigger sleep apnea or stop breathing during sleep. In patients with sleep apnea, breathing can stop for up to one minute and will resume when someone snores or coughs.

If this condition occurs repeatedly, oxygen levels in the blood and brain will decrease, thus triggering someone to wake up from sleep. Unhealthy sleep will make the body feel weak the next day. Men who are obese and smoke are more at risk of developing sleep apnea.

Hypothyroidism

The thyroxine hormone produced by the thyroid gland is needed in regulating energy metabolism to the immune system. If hypothyroidism occurs, where the thyroxine hormone level is too little, the body will feel weak.

Other complaints that accompany the weight gain, constipation, always feel cold, experiencing muscle pain, and dry skin. Women are more at risk of developing hypothyroidism than men and this risk also increases with age.

Heart disease

Body that feels limp or exhaustion after a light activity such as a leisurely walk, can indicate the presence of heart disease. However, this condition can generally be corrected with medication or certain actions.

Limp body turns out to be a sign that you have a disease, as described above. This is especially true for feelings of weakness that last up to two weeks or more. If you have changed your lifestyle to be healthier but the condition does not improve, consult your doctor immediately.
