9 Months Baby Food Menu

When entering the age of 9 months, babies are usually already interested in eating using their hands. This can actually indicate that the Little One is ready to eat various types of food. But, you still need to know what 9 months of baby food is recommended.

At the age of 9 months, the baby has begun to learn about aroma, color, and texture. The food consumed is not enough just to cut it small, but also need to ensure that the food is cooked until soft. This is to avoid baby choking.

Foods that can be given to 9-month-old babies

In providing 9-month baby food, you can start with vegetables that have been boiled until soft and cut into small pieces, such as sweet potatoes, peas, potatoes or carrots.

Apart from vegetables, various types of fruit can be given to 9-month-old babies, including bananas, avocados, melons and seedless watermelons. However, make sure the fruit given is not too hard. Serve the fruit with small pieces or slightly mashed.

Avoid Giving This Food to Your Little One

Although the type of food consumed by the Little One has begun to vary, there are some foods that should be avoided. Among these are half-cooked or raw eggs, whole beans, foods that are too sweet or salty, and high-calorie foods.

In addition, you are also advised not to give fish containing high mercury, such as mackerel, white tuna or swordfish. High mercury is likely to interfere with the development of the child's nervous system. Also avoid giving honey. Although good for adults, the bacteria in honey can cause poisoning in infants.

Entering the age of 9 months, babies begin to want to eat a variety of foods and hold themselves.
