Do not want stomach acid rise? Avoid these foods and drinks

Problems in the stomach is often experienced by many people. There are various problems in the stomach, such as flatulence, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. 1. Fatty foods

Fat spends more time in the stomach because it is slowly digested. This condition provides a stomach acid chance to rise into the esophagus.

In addition, high-fat foods are also low in nutrients that can trigger weight gain. Obesity can cause esophageal dysfunction that will be associated with acid reflux.

Shortly before bedtime, you should avoid the consumption of fatty foods, because it can cause belch up to heartburn.

2. Drinks contain caffeine

Consumption of caffeinated beverages can disrupt the functioning of the digestive system, and lead to increased production of stomach acid which can cause heartburn and acid reflux.

3 Tomatoes

6. Carbonated Drinks

Consumption of carbonated beverages may increase the pressure on the stomach due to the gas released by the beverage. Basically, the gas bubbles will push the stomach, so the stomach stretches, and forces the esophageal sphincter (the muscle fiber ring on the channel) to open. Thus, the gas and soda can trigger acid reflux symptoms.

7. Chocolate

Maybe for those of you who do not like chocolate, no problem to avoid this one meal. However, if you're a chocolate lover, this is bad news. Chocolate is tempting, but here are some reasons it can trigger acid reflux:

  • Chocolate contains caffeine and other stimulants: theobromine, which can cause reflux
  • Chocolate also contains high fats, and fat can cause reflux

8. Alcohol

9. Spicy food

Spicy foods can increase the symptoms of acid reflux. So, if you have ulcer disease, you should avoid spicy foods.

Overcoming stomach acid rises

1. Chicken porridge

6. Cauliflower
