Maintain healthy spine

Back pain can often be cured easily without surgery or medication. 60 percent of sufferers of acute back pain can work again within a week, and 90 percent of sufferers can work again after six weeks.

The following are instructions for preventing and overcoming back pain.

1. Stretch every morning

Start the day stretching while still in bed. Remember, that you have been lying down for eight hours, so if you suddenly get up, you can get a back injury. Before getting up, slowly stretch your arms above your head, then pull your knees toward your chest alternately. When you are ready to sit down, roll to the side of the bed and use your arms to help lift your body. After standing, place your hands on your buttocks, then slowly lean back to stretch your spine.

2. Take time to walk around

Going for a walk can maintain the health of your back by keeping your entire body in shape. This activity strengthens the muscles that function to form the buttocks, legs, back, and stomach. A rather fast walk also helps the body secrete endorphins, hormones that function to relieve pain. Swimming, biking, and running are also good.

3. Rest your back Sitting puts more pressure on your back than standing

If you have to sit at your desk for a long time or you have to travel long distances by plane, train or car, change positions often and give your back a chance to rest by standing and walking about every hour once.

4. Lean back when lifting weights

If you do not find someone to help lift a heavyweight, try the following steps as the final step: If the object is located at the height of the table, lean your body toward it to pull or lift it. You can also use this method to lift the sliding window. This position reduces stress on your spine because you are forced to use your feet as support.

5. Stand or sit up straight

Maintaining proper posture is the best way to prevent back pain. To improve your posture, try the following. Standing close to the wall or sitting in a dining chair, make sure that your shoulders and buttocks touch the wall or back of the chair. Slide your arms into the space between the lower back and the wall or the back of the chair. If there are still parts where your hands do not come in contact with either your back or the wall or the back of a chair, lift your hips so that the excess space is gone. Maintain that position for about 20 counts while looking in the mirror to see your own posture. Maintain that posture until evening. Do this exercise every day for three weeks until the correct posture becomes a habit.

Right or left back pain can be treated by general practitioners to neurologists and the musculoskeletal system. But keep in mind that the presence of fever accompanied by back pain both right and left-back pain accompanied by symptoms that have been mentioned previously are symptoms that need to be aware of.

If you suffer from the right or left back pain, it is advisable to see a general practitioner first. After being examined, the general practitioner can determine whether back pain requires special treatment or not.
