Causes and how to eliminate drowsiness effective

Feeling sleepy having to enter the office in the morning? Or, you leave early to avoid congestion?

  • Lack of sleep

  • Stress and depression

  • Dehydration

  • Eating unhealthy and consuming too much caffeine

Too often eating unhealthy foods can also cause drowsiness, including consuming caffeine and too much alcohol. For that, always try to apply a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious foods on a regular basis.

  • Rarely move

Silence too long in front of the computer or on the table will make the body feel tired and sleepy. To fix this, try to exercise lightly on the sidelines of your activities at the office. That way, the blood circulation in the body will run smoothly.

  • Caffeine

Caffeine is usually obtained from coffee and tea will trigger a fight or flight response.   • Listening to music

Music with fast pounding and rhythm can pump the heart to beat faster so that energy increases. Try to organize your playlists from slow-paced music and slowly increase to wake you up.

  • Fresh air

Another way to get rid of drowsiness is to make sure you get a fresh breeze while driving or on public transport.

  • Sun

Sunlight is a great source of energy that helps to regenerate energy. So, get out and bask in the morning sun as a way to get out sleepy in the morning.

How To Eliminate Sleepiness

  • If you are in a dim room, try to turn on the light to ward off sleepiness.
  • Talking with colleagues can also be a great solution to eliminate sleepiness.
  • Breathe deeply to increase oxygen levels in the blood and energy in the body.
  • Drink more water to prevent dehydration. Therefore, drowsiness can arise when the body lacks fluids.

 

Drowsiness can also be eliminated through medical treatment, especially if caused by certain conditions, such as sleep apnea. Before providing treatment, your doctor will make a diagnosis of your condition first, by:

  • Asking your duration and sleeping patterns every day.
  • Ask about drugs that are often consumed.
  • Complete blood examination, if necessary.
  • Conduct urine test and CT scan on the head.
  • Perform electroencephalogram (EEG).
  • After the diagnosis is done, the method of treatment to be administered depends on the condition that causes the drowsiness to appear.

If your eyes still feel heavy even though it has been applied some way to eliminate sleepiness above, you should immediately consult a doctor. Do not rule out, the sleepiness that you often experience is affected by more serious health conditions. But, if you prove healthy, start changing your diet by multiplying foods that contain complex carbohydrates. Add also vitamin and mineral supplements if needed.
