Fertile Test Equipment to Increase Pregnancy Opportunities

Many women find it difficult to know when it is fertile. In fact, by knowing the fertile period makes it easy to plan a pregnancy. Therefore, a fertility test device is needed in order to find out when the best time to have sex.

You can find out when a woman's fertile period, with regard to the menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle can provide clues when a woman's fertile period occurs. At this time, your chances of getting pregnant are very large.

The menstrual cycle affects a woman's fertile period

The fertile period of a woman depends on the menstrual cycle you have. Every woman has a different menstrual cycle.

Menstrual cycle is the range from the first day of menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation. Normally, the menstrual cycle lasts for 21-35 days. But, on average, women have a menstrual cycle of 28 days.

Now, among these menstrual cycles there is a woman's most fertile period. If fertilization occurs (when the egg meets sperm) in this woman's fertile period, then pregnancy occurs. However, if fertilization does not occur, the female egg will decay and come out of the vagina in the form of blood. This is why women every month definitely experience menstruation. Every month at least women will release one egg.

When does a woman's fertile period occur?

The fertile period of a woman occurs when a woman ovulates, the process by which the egg is released from the ovary to the fallopian tubes, so that it is ready to be fertilized by sperm. The fertile period of women generally starts around 10 to 14 days before the next menstrual period arrives. However, this only applies to women who have a regular menstrual cycle of 28 days. For women who have an irregular menstrual cycle, it is quite difficult to detect when the body will ovulate every month. For this reason, a fertility test is needed.

How to Know Women's Fertility with a Fertile Test Tool

There are several fertility test kits that can be used to find out when fertility occurs, including:

1. Ovulation test pack

One way to detect when a woman's fertile period is by using ovulation test pack. This tool is very easy to use, you only need to drop your urine sample into the device. Ovulation test pack works by detecting changes in luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine. If LH hormone production increases, it means that ovulation will arrive soon and this is the best time to have sexual intercourse.

This tool is quite effective to find out the fertile period of women, which is 99 percent only in one use. Although it is very accurate, it cannot be used in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or Luteinized Unrupured Follicle Syndrome (LUFS), because the condition affects the LH hormone. Before you buy an ovulation test pack, ask the pharmacist first, because this tool is very similar to the pregnancy pack test.

2. Basal temperature measurement

The second way to determine ovulation is by measuring Basal Body Temperature (BBT). Basal temperature itself is the body temperature when resting. Basal temperature measurements can be done quite easily, you only need to prepare a thermometer that has a special measurement of the body's basal temperature. Then, use the thermometer when you wake up, before getting out of bed in the morning.

Normally, the temperature of a woman's body that is not ovulating ranges from 36.2 to 36.5 degrees Celsius. But after the body ovulates, body temperature will increase by about 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius. This is caused by the ovaries secreting the hormone progesterone, which will increase body temperature. To get accurate results, take measurements of the basal body temperature every day in the full menstrual cycle, from the first day you experience menstruation until the first day of your next period. Don't forget to record the results of temperature measurements in the book or enter in your mobile application.

3. Cervical mucus

In addition to these two fertile test kits, changes in the cervical mucus can also be used as a reference. The condition of the cervical mucus will change when the egg cell begins to be released. This change in cervical mucus is affected by the hormones that regulate ovulation.

Generally, when the egg is preparing to be fertilized in the body, the cervical mucus will have a texture that is more elastic, transparent or slightly whitish, and slippery, like egg white. This change in mucus may be difficult to distinguish for some women. However, you can check it using a tissue or finger that has been washed clean. Do this several times a day, and if there is no mucus around the vagina, you are not in a fertile period. Cervical mucus will be difficult to use as a benchmark to determine the fertile period if a woman is leucorrhoea or using feminine cleaning products.

Health Problems That Affect Women's Fertility

Despite being in a fertile period, lifestyle factors also play a major role in influencing a woman's chances of getting pregnant. Habits such as smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages, nutritional problems such as obesity or malnutrition, and stress, will greatly affect fertility. In addition to lifestyle factors, certain diseases can also affect women's fertility, including:

  • Ovulation disorders

This disorder occurs because of several conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome and thyroid disorders.

  • Blockage or damage to the ovary duct

This condition is usually caused by pelvic inflammatory disease and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), such as chlamydia and gonorrhea.

  • The appearance of scar tissue in the pelvis

Scarring can occur due to pelvic infection, appendicitis, and post-abdominal or pelvic surgery.

  • Endometriosis

The growth of tissue in the lining of the uterus outside the uterine cavity.

  • Tumor

Disorders such as tumors or cysts in a woman's reproductive organs can also affect fertility problems.

To find out exactly what causes female infertility, immediately consult your obstetrician. The doctor will do a complete examination to be able to ascertain the cause of difficulty getting pregnant, also can suggest the fertile period test tool that is right for you.
