Loss of appetite can have a serious impact on health, especially if you are experiencing weight loss. To overcome this problem, you can increase appetite by starting to choose food intake and regulate your daily diet.

Loss of appetite can be caused by various factors, such as anxiety, depression, or side effects of using certain drugs. If you constantly lose your appetite, so that your body weight is always less than ideal and does not go up, your confidence can decrease and the risk of health problems will increase.

Pay attention to daily eating patterns

One way to increase appetite and increase body weight is to pay attention to your daily diet. Below are some things that must be considered in regulating the daily diet:

Never leave breakfast

Breakfast with a healthy menu can help increase appetite and weight. Breakfast can trigger a thermogenesis effect in the body, so you can burn more calories a day. The more calories burned, the greater your appetite.




Prepare favorite foods

Appetite will arise more easily if there are foods that you like. For that, always prepare your favorite food, so there is no reason to delay or skip meals.

Eat smaller portions more often

Eat three times a day with large portions, often making your appetite decrease. In this condition, you feel your stomach becomes full quickly and your appetite decreases. To increase appetite, try to eat more often, for example 4-6 times a day, but in small portions.

Choose healthy snacks

Snacks can be a solution to increase appetite. Choose healthy snacks that contain healthy carbohydrates and fats, such as bananas, avocados, and nuts. Place this healthy snack in a small bowl that is easily accessible so you are encouraged to eat snacks.

Avoid too much fiber

In processing fiber-rich foods such as vegetables, fruit, or wheat, the body takes longer than when digesting other foods. When you eat fibrous foods, you will feel full longer, so you tend not to want to eat anymore.

Supporting Things That Can Increase Appetite

In addition to the above, you can increase appetite by paying attention to supporting things besides food consumed:

Create a pleasant atmosphere

For example, eating while listening to music, watching favorite programs on TV, lighting aromatherapy candles on the table, or chatting with friends. The important thing is to avoid the topic of conversation that will create stress. Because, there is a possibility that your appetite may be caused by stress or anxiety because of a problem.

Don't forget to fill your fluid needs

Drink a glass of water an hour before and after meals to help digestion and prevent the stomach from getting too full. Avoid drinking too much water before eating because the effect will provide a false satiety and decrease appetite. Fluid needs can also be met by drinking milk or tea to stimulate appetite.

Perform mild exercise activities

Exercise will stimulate your appetite. During exercise, the calories contained in the body will burn. After exercise, the body needs more energy, so you will feel hungry.
