Stress symptoms can appear differently in each person. Not only from the emotional side, but stress symptoms can also trigger a variety of health problems in the body.

Stress is actually the body's natural reaction in the face of certain changes or events. Stress is beneficial positively because it makes a person alert in avoiding danger, but can also be negative if the stress lasts for long.

Stress symptoms can affect various aspects, including emotions, behavior, thinking skills, even health conditions. The whole body is vulnerable to stress. Stress symptoms are increasingly dangerous if people choose unhealthy ways to overcome them, such as using alcoholism, smoking, or drugs.

Each person can experience different symptoms. Starting from anxiety, frustration, changing moods, feeling lost in control, difficult to feel relaxed, lonely, decreased self-confidence, feeling worthless, to depression. Stress symptoms can also take the form of withdrawing from other people or the social environment.

Stress symptoms are also able to trigger health problems, although often unwittingly. Here are some types of stress-related diseases:

  • Tense muscles

A stressed body makes the muscles tighten and can only relax again when the stress subsides. It is the body's natural way of protecting itself from pain and injury. Stress that occurs continuously and in the long term can lead to diseases such as headaches and migraines caused by strained muscles around the head, neck, and shoulders.

  • Hair loss

Stress symptoms can increase the speed of hair loss to more than normal. If in normal conditions hair loss is around 100 strands per day when stress falls it can reach half or three-quarters of the total hair. Hair loss will appear several weeks or even months after stress appears and improves 6-8 months afterward.

  • Toothache

When stress strikes, many react to teeth. This can occur when awake or during sleep. This habit can damage the teeth to cause interference with the jaw joint that triggers pain in the jaw and neck.

  • Respiratory disorders

Stress can make breathing difficult, this condition is very dangerous for people with asthma or lung disorders. Conversely, stress can also cause shortness of breath, in people who are prone to panic attacks.

  • Disorders of eating and digestive patterns

Changes in diet occur in some people who feel stressed, some choose to consume more food than usual. Conversely, some choose to eat less. It can trigger discomfort in the stomach, even vomiting. In addition, stress can affect the digestion process and absorption of nutrients in the body, so that it can cause diarrhea or constipation.

  • Skin disease

Stress symptoms are known to aggravate sensitive skin and existing skin disorders. For example acne, psoriasis, rosacea, and others.

  • Forgetful

The more severe symptoms of stress are felt, the research shows the more often the possibility of someone becoming forgetful. In fact, stress that only occurs for a while can affect communication between brain cells in storing information and memory.

  • Heart disease and high blood pressure

Stress that occurs in the short term, such as congestion or near the deadline of a job, will increase the heart rate and contraction of the heart muscle to be stronger. If stress occurs continuously, it is likely to increase the risk of high blood pressure, stroke, or heart attack.
