The sex of the fetus in the womb

Scientifically, men have X and Y chromosomes, whereas women have the same two chromosomes, X and X. If in the intimate sex sperm of X that fertilize the egg, then the chromosome encounters X and X, so that is obtained the fetus is female. Another scenario is, if the sperm Y that fertilizes the egg, then there was a meeting between X and Y chromosomes to get a baby male sex.

From the above explanation, it can be concluded that the sex of the fetus has nothing to do with morning sickness experienced by pregnant women.

Cause of morning sickness

Morning sickness is a complaint of nausea and vomiting experienced by pregnant women, which commonly occurs early in the morning during the early trimester of pregnancy. Until now, the exact cause is unknown. Even so, there are some things that are considered as the cause, among others:

  • Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone increases rapidly during early pregnancy. No one knows how hCG contributes to the occurrence of nausea. Most likely this can happen because of the increase in hCG hormones that timed to coincide with complaints of nausea and vomiting that occurred. Nausea tends to peak at the same time as hCG levels.
  • Similar to hCG, the hormone estrogen also increases rapidly in early pregnancy, which is most likely to cause nausea and want to vomit.
  • Increased olfactory senses and odor sensitivity. Not infrequently a new woman pregnant feel overwhelmed by the smell or perfume that stung. Certain scents can trigger a gag reflex immediately. Some researchers believe that this condition is caused by increased levels of estrogen. However, that is just a mere assumption.
  • Sensitive stomach. Some of the female digestive tracts are more sensitive to changes that occur during early pregnancy. There have been several studies showing that women with Helicobacter pylori bacteria in their stomach are more likely to experience nausea and vomiting.
  • Many studies have suggested that some women are psychologically prone to nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. This is an abnormal response to stress. However, there is no conclusive evidence to support this theory.
