These 6 Types of Food Can Help You Stop Smoking

For some people, quitting smoking is very difficult to do. However, there are several ways you can stop smoking to become easier. One of them is by consuming these 5 types of food.

Usually, the reason someone is reluctant to stop smoking is the fear that appetite will increase, so that weight increases. In fact, by eating the right foods, you can still eat with pleasure without the need to fear your weight will increase.

Types of Food That Can Help You Stop Smoking

Quitting smoking is often associated with weight gain. This is because when you stop smoking, you might eat more instead.

Besides vegetables, you can also eat fresh fruits, such as oranges, pears, apples, and bananas, which are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins. These fruits can help clear free radicals that accumulate in the body due to smoking habits.

3. Peanuts

Nuts rich in fiber, such as peas, kidney beans or soybeans, can keep you full. Eating peanuts as a snack will help divert your attention from the desire to smoke, without increasing your weight.

However, make sure the nuts you consume do not contain a lot of salt or flavoring. Also, make sure the beans are not processed by frying them.

4. Popcorn

Snacks that are commonly consumed while watching the cinema can also help you avoid smoking. In addition to making you busy chewing so forgetting the desire to smoke, eating popcorn will also make you full quickly.

Popcorn is the right choice for snacks because it is rich in fiber and low in calories. But remember, make sure the popcorn you consume does not contain butter or salt.

5. Chewing gum
