Want more healthy, avoid cholesterol abstinence

Doctors have stated that the level of bad cholesterol in your blood is too high? Now it's time to improve your diet with a low cholesterol diet. That means you have to undergo high cholesterol abstinence which is certainly a danger to health.

High cholesterol is one of the main risk factors for coronary heart disease, heart attack and stroke. To avoid this, you need to pay attention to cholesterol restrictions which mostly consist of food.

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or often called bad cholesterol is one of the factors that can increase cholesterol levels. If there is too much LDL in the blood, cholesterol can accumulate in the inner walls of the arteries (blood vessels). If cholesterol buildup gets denser and hardens, it can disrupt blood flow from the arteries to the heart and brain.

Various Cholesterol Abstinence

Various diseases caused by high cholesterol can be avoided by doing a healthy lifestyle and avoiding cholesterol restrictions as follows:

Ice cream

In some studies, one cup of ice cream has more fat than a burger, even a few times more than consuming one donut. It is recommended to replace ice cream with fresh fruit to be your dessert. Likewise with food or drinks containing milk, such as cheese and yogurt, you should replace it with low-fat dairy products.

Foods high in saturated fat

Fat is needed by the body, but eating excessive fatty foods can increase blood cholesterol. One of the restrictions on cholesterol is to limit foods such as sausages, butter, creamy fatty cheese, cakes, biscuits, sugar, foods that contain coconut oil or palm oil, offal, fast food, packaged foods, egg yolks and others.

The other cholesterol limit is meat. Meat generally contains a lot of saturated fat and cholesterol. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce meat intake in your diet. If you eat chicken meat, it is recommended to remove the skin. If not, chickens can turn into foods that are high in cholesterol.

Fried or any fried food

Fried foods may be commonly consumed by many people. However, either fried or other fried foods can trigger high cholesterol. It starts from a process when food is fried, which makes the water in the food evaporate. In addition, fat in oil is also absorbed by food, so oil will turn into trans fats which can cause high cholesterol.

However, that doesn't mean you can't fry food at all. It is recommended to use olive oil or sunflower seed oil for frying. In addition, limit consumption of fried foods only a few times a month.

Fast food

In addition to the lack of nutrition, fast food or junk food contains high cholesterol because of the processing. Therefore, you should abstain from consuming fast food such as French fries, flour-fried chicken, burgers, and the like.

The seafood you need to watch out for is shrimp. Compared to other seafood such as fish and squid, shrimp have the highest cholesterol levels. So, shrimp is one of the foods that prevent high cholesterol. If you want to eat seafood, you should balance it with nutrients from fresh vegetables and fruits.

Smoking will reduce levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol. As a result, heart disease also shadows you. In addition, smoking can also cause irritation of blood vessel walls so that the buildup of cholesterol or the formation of plaque on the artery walls is easier.

Smoking also increases the risk of blood clots and causes hardening of the artery walls or atherosclerosis. Not only are active smokers, HDL levels dropped can also affect passive smoking. When you stop smoking, HDL good cholesterol levels will soon increase. It is not surprising that smoking is one of the restrictions on cholesterol.

If you don't want blood cholesterol levels to be high and attacked by various diseases, let's avoid the various cholesterol restrictions above. In addition, it is also recommended to check your cholesterol levels in doctors to avoid diseases that can interfere with health.
